January 1st, New Years Day falls on a Saturday this year and we celebrate the Octave Day of the Nativity with great festivity. We will have a special Mass schedule on this day: in addition to the normal 8am Low Mass, there will be a 10am High Mass in honor of the Infant King. Attendance at Holy Mass is highly encouraged, but it is not a Holy Day of Obligation. The normal First Saturday Holy Hour will need to be cancelled this day.
